Handmade soaps have more natural glycerin in them than store-bought soaps. Glycerin attracts water: Wet soap becomes soft soap, and soft soap disintegrates quickly. Store your soap away from shower faucet and in a dry place. Allow soap to dry on all sides after using. Dry soap hardens after each use, enabling you to enjoy your soap a long time. Exposure to air promotes hardening of your soap and contributes to a longer lasting quality. We recommend using a draining soap deck instead of a soap dish (we have handcrafted wood soap decks and chrome soap racks available) and storing away from strong light as it may cause botanical colorants to fade. It will not effect the quality or scent of the soap. Use soap with a washcloth. This will not only exfoliate your skin, but will make your soap last longer!
